Finally, after being forced to lay in bed for a couple days, after tha fight with James, Evan was able to move around again. James did a pretty good number on him, but Evan was able to do some good damage on James as well. He snapped his jaw closed. He had taken on his animal form and attacked. It was too bad, that Augustinas wasn't able to get James back into Saelin. Evan would have loved to see the bastard get his ass kicked.
He scratched behind his ear, much like a dog would, with his hand, then grabbed a tree branch. Just because his animal form was a dog, didn't mean he didn't know how to climb. He climbed up and up, until he found a branch big enough to hold him. It wasn't so high up that a person on the forest floor wouldn't be able to spot him, but it was high enough so that a person down there wouldn't be able to reach him.

Gavin, in his animal form, was curled up inside the hole of a hollow tree, sleeping. All of the sudden he was rudely awakened by some banging and scratching noises coming from outside. It sounded like there was someone or something climbing the tree. Whoever it was must not've known that the tree was hollow, (it was hard to tell from the outside) or they wouldn't be climbing it.
He squeezed himself out of the small hole at the base of the tree and looked up to see a familiar face. It was Evan, who just happened to be one of the most annoying people on the planet. Great. Gavin briefly wondered if he should bother telling Evan that the tree he was sitting in was hollow and rotting from the inside out, or just not say anything and let him find out the hard way.
He decided not to be a bastard. Turning into his human form and getting to his feet, he called up, "That tree's not safe to climb, you know."

As Evan was perched upon his tree branch, he noticed movement below. It was a little fox, that crawled out from the tree. Oh, so this tree was hallow? He looked back up, not realizing that the fox was actually a fellow clan member. Not until he heard a voice speak to him. And it wasn't just any voice, it was the voice of Gavin. Aisling's older brother, and the one guy Evan loved to irritate.
"It's not?" he called down from his branch. "Well...thanks for letting me know." It was weird, that Gavin was actually warning him about an unsafe tree. Whatever. He slid off his branch, and climbed down, and once he got close enough to the ground, he let go of his branch, and landed in front of Gavin. "What's up ole Gravy?"
Gravy, was Evan's nickname for him. It use to be Gavy, but somehow he managed to get that R into the nickname. So now, he would forever be known as 'Gravy'.

It wasn't hard to see why Gavin wasn't fond of this guy.
"Nothing much, asshole," Gavin replied shortly. Asshole was Gavin's nickname for him. It used to be dumbass, but somehow the dumb had managed to disappear and the hole had been added on. So now, he would forever be known as asshole. "I hear some guy from Maisigh beat the crap outta you."
Gavin felt kinda bad for the poor Maisigh guy who was probably now in jail for attacking Evan. Whatever his reason was for doing it, Evan probably deserved it. Gavin himself had attacked Evan a few times, but luckily never ended up getting arrested for it.

"Yeah," Evan replied, not really being bothered by his question. "A guy named James." He stretched a little, before continueing. "But I got him pretty good too." He growled very lightly, then snapped his teeth together again. "Dog bites, those hurt, especially when the dog doesn't want to let go."
He reached out, and patted Gavin on the head. "So what were you doing down there little foxy?" He asked, "Taking a nap?"

Gavin rolled his eyes when Evan bragged about biting his attacker, (even though he probably would've done the same thing, not that he'd ever admit it.) Then Evan did something that made him very anrgy; he reached up and patted him on the head.
Gavin grabbed Evan's hand, squeezed, and twisted his arm around in such a way that would cause him pain. "Don't touch me," he growled. He didn't even really care that Evan was making fun of him. He just hated, hated, hated when people, especially people he didn't like, touched him without permission. Evan probably knew that and did it on purpose. Asshole.

Evan was waiting for this. Gavin always had his little freak out moments, and Evan loved to bring them out. Didn't this guy realize that he was an easy target? The arm twisting did hurt though, and as much as he hated to admit it, it caused Evan to flinch a bit.
"Whoa, whoa, Gravy," he said. "Calm down dude!" He twisted himself around, until he was able to get out of Gavin's hold. "You're such an angry fellow," he told him, while rubbing his wrist a bit. "Did you know that?"

"Are you trying to get attacked again? Do you like the attention or something? Seriously. It's like you want me to hurt you. D'you get off on pain or something?" Gavin replied, all pissed off like. To be honest, he knew he was an easy target for someone like Evan who liked making people mad, but he couldn't help it. He wasn't the type who could just be all cool and ignore things. All he could do was take satisfaction from the physical pain he inflicted upon Evan.

“If I told you I was a masochist,” Evan replied. “Would you hurt me more?” He scratched behind his ear again, much like he did earlier then grinned. “But seriously,” he said. “You’re so easy to get angry.” He shrugged, “The ladies don’t like angry men you know.”

Gavin rolled his eyes. "What do I care?" he retorted. He honestly didn't care what 'the ladies' thought of him. He didn't care what anyone thought of him. Well, to be more accurate, he didn't care if anyone liked him. He did care what people thought...a little.

“How’s your sister?” Evan asked, totally changing the subject. “I haven’t seen her in a while.” He really liked Aisling, a lot. He wondered if she liked him back. Probably not, girls normally didn’t talk to him. Probably because he was annoying. It made him sad, but he was too lazy to try and change himself. Evan liked who he was. “I miss her.”

"She's fine," Gavin replied, glaring at Evan. He knew what Evan wanted with Aisling, and it only intensified his hatred for him. "Great, in fact. She's probably happy about the fact that she hasn't seen you in a while." Aisling was pretty much nice to everybody, including Evan, so that probably wasn't true. But still, Gavin was pretty certain that Aisling wasn't losing any sleep over not seeing Evan.

“Are you sure?” Evan asked, hoping that maybe Gavin was just being an ass. It would make Evan really sad if Aisling didn’t want to see him. He always thought they were friends. “I don’t believe you,” he finally said. “I think you’re just trying to make me upset.”

Gavin heard the doubt in Evan's voice and jumped all over it. "No, seriously," he insisted. "Come on, even you must know how annoying you are. Why would she want to see you?" He was totally lying at this point, as Aisling had never once said anything about Evan annoying her, but whatever. He had to annoy her at least a little, even if she didn't want to say anything about it. He was Evan.
