Aimee was the happiest woman in all of Aaeria. She had gone to the doctor, for a routine check up, and left, being a mother. Finally, she was finally pregnant! She couldn't wait to tell Aloysius! Too bad he was at work. This disappointed her, but she was still really excited, and she couldn't wait to tell him.
Once she finally arrived home, she immediately starting making dinner. She always made dinner for her and Aloysius, mostly because she loved cooking, but tonight this dinner was going to be extra special. She was making chicken, mashed potatoes, and green beans. That was the dinner they always ate, during any type of celebration.
By the time dinner was all ready, Aloysius should be home soon, so she hurriedly ran to their bedroom and changed into something nice, that didn't smell like chicken, then made her hair look better. She smiled at herself in a mirror. "You're finally a mommy Aimee," then she squealed. "I have to tell mom and dad too!"
She rushed back into the dining room, and set up everything. The plates, candles, and the food. Then, she took her usual seat at their dinner table, and watched the window, eagerly, waiting for her fiance to arrive.
Hours passed though, and he still didn't arrive. Aimee was growing increasingly worried, every hour. He would have been home by now! Unless he had to work a little bit later? She nodded, and decided to go with that, even though the voice in the back of her head, was telling her something different.
Eventually, she couldn't stay awake anymore, and fell asleep at the dinner table. While she slept, she dreamed of Aloysius, and in the dream, he was running from something, and he was terrified. Right before whatever it was he was running from got him, Aimee awoke with a jump. It was pitch black in the house now, even the candles had used up their wax. "Aloysius?!" She called in the dark lonely house. She got up from the table, and searched for a candle. It was hard to do it in the dark, but she found one, then lit it. "Aloysius?!" She called his name again, then hoped that maybe he was just asleep. She knew though, that that was not the case. He would have woken her once he got home.
Tears started to run down her cheeks. Where was her fiance? Her Aloysius? Their babies father? "Aloysius!" She wasn't even calling for him now. Now, she was just screaming his name. She was scared, upset, and worried. What if he was hurt? What if...? No, she wasn't going to go there.
She reached their bedroom, and collapsed on the bed, causing the candle to blow out, and she began to sob into Aloysius' pillow. The love of her life was missing, and she didn't know where he was.
