A little copper colored eurasier, made it's way happily across the sand. He stopped and sniffed at what appeared to be an ordinary rock, and with a sneeze and a shake of the head, he found out that it was indeed, a rock covered in sand. He trotted along, exploring the beach some more, until he noticed that there was another person on the beach. He grew excited, and almost ran up to the person, but then he remembered that he was in his animal form.
Shifting forms, usually took a lot of energy, unless you had been doing it for years. So when Koa took on his human form, he barely felt any fatigue at all. Now that he was on two legs, he was able to see who this other person was on the beach.
Koa grew excited, it was Faron! His best friend since they were little! "Faron!" he called, "Faron it's me Koa!" He waved his hands in the air, then ran at the other boy on the beach.

I have no idea why Faron was at the beach. Honestly, he probably didn't know either. He doesn't always have a reason for the things he does. He probably just woke up and felt like walking somewhere. After all, he gets bored doing the same stuff over and over, and he hadn't just randomly walked to the beach in a while. Or maybe he was on his way somewhere else, and the beach was the quickest way to get there. I dunno. I'd tell you if I looked at that map.
Anywho, he was walkin' along, mindin' his own business, maybe occassionally checking his refelction in the water, when he heard his name being called. He looked up to see this kid he knew named Koa running towards him all excitedly. In Koa's mind, they were best friends. In Faron's mind, Koa was mildly entertaining sometimes.
For one thing, he was really gullible. "Uhm, do I know you?" Faron asked, feigning confusion. It had seriously been less than a week since they'd seen each other, but Faron was 99.9% sure that Koa would actually believe Faron didn't remember him.

Koa stopped running and stood there, feeling genuinely confused. Faron didn't recognize him? Didn't they just see each other a couple days ago? "Faron," he said, laughing a little. "It's me, Koa!"
Faron really did look like he didn't recognize Koa. What happened to him? Did he hurt his head, and get amnesia? What if Faron never remembered Koa ever again? Koa didn't want to lose his friend!

Faron rolled his eyes, smirking. "You're so gullible, Koa," he told him, dropping the facade. "I was just kidding. I think that's like, the third time you've fallen for that." Faron wasn't sure why Koa amused him so much. They were total opposites. Faron was smart and mature and a compulsive liar, while Koa was dumb and naive and probably had never told a real lie in his life.

Koa blushed, feeling a bit embarrassed. Faron was right, Koa had fallen for that two times before. Faron was just so convincing. "I'm glad you're only joking," he said. "I'd be sad if you had forgotten me." He pouted, but then grinned. "But come to think of it," he continued. "I'd have to teach you all of the stuff that we do together, and that would be fun!" Silly naive Koa, and your naivety.

"Oh yeah," Faron replied, his voice so unenthusiastic it was almost sarcastic. He knew Koa wouldn't pick up on it though. He never did. He never got anything. Ever. "It would be tons of fun. But seriously Koa, how could I have forgotten who you were in the past five days when I've known you my entire life?" He didn't get how Koa's little mind worked.

"Well," Koa replied, his blush getting a bit brighter. "You just seemed so convincing!" He shrugged and looked down at his feet, feeling really embarrassed. "You could have always hit your head," Koa explained. "And then got amnesia!"

"Yeah, but it's way more likely I'm just kidding, especially since I've done it so many times before," Faron replied, at a total loss as to how anyone could be so purely and genuinely dumb. Of course, he was used to the average person being at least slightly dumber than himself, as he was very smart, but Koa was like a special kind of dumb. A kind of dumb that usually resulted from being dropped a lot as a baby.
He shook his head. "Geez Koa, I could convince you of anything, couldn't I?" He knew he could. He could convince almost anyone of almost anything. Koa was just especially easy.

Koa shrugged sheepishly. "Well," he said, trying to explain himself. "One of these days, you really will have amnesia, so I just have to stay on my toes." He bit his bottom lip, and kicked at the sand. He still felt embarrassed, but the fact that Faron was there, standing in front of him, remembering who he was, was making him forget his embarrassment. "Anyway," he spoke again, ready to change the subject. "What do you wanna do today?"

Faron just looked at Koa blankly for a second. One thing he actually didn't remember was ever making any plans to do anything at all with Koa today. He didn't remember these plans because there weren't any. Leave it to Koa to just randomly decided they were hanging out just because they happened to run into each other.
"I don't know," Faron replied honestly. "What do you want to do?" He asked this on the off chance that Koa might actually come up with a good idea.

Koa stood there, biting his bottom lip and thinking. He had no idea what he wanted to do. It had to be something fun, so that Faron would want to too. "I dunno," he finally replied. "You should pick...you know that you never like any of my suggestions."

"I don't have anything I want to do, Koa," Faron replied. "Otherwise I would be doing it, instead of walking aimlessly on the beach. Just tell me what you wanna do. I won't turn it down. Promise." He smiled. And he wouldn't turn it down--unless it was something REALLY stupid.

Koa bit his bottom lip again. He shuffled from foot to foot, unable to decide. "We could..." He looked down at his tummy, then looked back up at Faron. "Have a picnic?" He was hungry, and something like that sounded like it would be fun. The problem was, they had no food. They'd have to go to a city, and buy food. But, would Faron want to return to the beach after they got their food?

A picnic? Yeah, that was one of those really stupid ideas Faron would shoot down no matter what he'd 'promised.' "A picnic? We're not little girls, Koa," he replied, rolling his eyes. Although he was kinda hungry, now that he thought about it. "Let's just go to the city and get something to eat."

Koa was disapointed that Faron didn't want to have a picnic, but he felt that he should have known Faron wouldn't have liked the idea. His friend was so picky sometimes. He perked up though, when Faron still wanted to have lunch with him. "The city is fine," he replied with a nod. "Just as long as I get to eat with my best friend!"
